This template make use of Liferay Application Display Template A.K.A ADT. This is a new feature introduced in Liferay 6.2. This template is implemented for the asset publisher portlet. Webcontent asset entries will be displayed as thumbnails, and provides ajax lazy loading mechanism. Similar to Facebook's wall infinite scroll effect. It requests the items using a custom javascript JSON api to retrieve the entries on each scroll when more items are needed. |
Note: Because of JSP versions conflicts, this app only works on Liferay EE 6.2 SP13+ and Liferay CE 6.2 GA5+
Installation
- Obtain the Asset Publisher Infinite Abstract Grid app from the Liferay Marketplace.
- Deploy the app in your existing out of the box Liferay installation. If you haven't installed Liferay, please download and follow the instructions to do so.
After the successful deployment you have to create templates that refer to the templates in the app.
Configuration
- Put the asset publisher in the page you want to display the infinite grid view template
- Click on the configuration
- Choose Display Settings, Select the Display Template as Infinite Abstract Grid
- In the option Number of Items to Display select the number of items to display when the template loads more items.
